Rajasthan, India: Earlier this month, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was called on to mediate in a conflict between the Indian Government and the Gujjar community (an ethnic group in India that resorted to violent protests to attain the benefit of Government affirmative action initiatives). The conflict threatened to cripple commerce in Rajasthan and other parts of the northern Indian region.

Buenos Aires, Argentina: Tens of thousands of Argentinians, including politicians, business leaders, prison inmates and the general public, warmed to the teachings of Sri Sri during his six day visit to the nation in May. IAHV Benefit Concert at Concertgebouw, Amsterdam
Amsterdam, The Netherlands: The International Association for Human Values (IAHV), in association with the Earth Charter Initiative, organised a benefit concert for over 1,200 guests at one of the premier concert halls in Europe, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, to support the education of underprivileged children at the Art of Living rural school on the outskirts of Bangalore city.
